I often get compliments about my complexion and questions of how I take care of it, but in actual truth... I don't take care of my skin as much as most girls.
I have only gone for 1 facial treatment my entire life because my mummy bought a Shiseido facial session for me when I was 14. My face was saturated with pimples for like 3~4 years, since I was 12. I use a facial mask probably once in 2 weeks or when I have to review products, otherwise I don't touch them for months straight.
I only have clear skin not because I use miraculous serums or do facial masks thrice a week, but because I know my skin inside-out. It hates getting piled on with numerous products, it loves being handled gently with mild and moisturising cleansers. Many people get acne/pimples because they don't understand their skin!
Don't be impatient, my young ones. I'm admittedly the acne/pimple guru because I have tried using numerous tea tree oil products, probably all the pimple creams/acne facial washes in the market and even CALAMINE LOTION.
So today, I'm gonna provide my honest reviews about Acnes Medicated Skincare products, namely the Acnes Creamy Wash and Acnes Sealing Jell.
I don't have pimples/acne but I have tried these products and they're really worth considering if you have oily skin or facing skin problems.

This range also has a myriad of beneficial properties, like Anti-Bacterial, Soothing, Deep Cleansing, Water Retentive(moisturising) and Anti-Oxidation.
Okay, I've done a shitload of research on skincare/makeup product ingredients in the past so I'm gonna get a little scientific here. One main ingredient is Isopropyl Methylphenol, which suppresses oxidation and has anti-bacterial properties.
On top of that, it has Vit E which also performs the same purpose other than being your skin's best friend. You know how your makeup oxidises and becomes darker in an hour? It won't happen when you use this cleanser!
Make sure that you foam it up well in order for the good stuff to penetrate into your skin. A little goes a looong way.
& you know what else is awesome? It's retailing at only S$6.90 for a full-sized cleanser!
If you have the occasional outbreaks, Acnes Medicated Sealing Jell will do the trick!
I just find this box seal rather smart. HAHA. It's a rare sight lor!
It's a really lightweight, oil-free gel which doesn't crust up when dry. It dries clear but there will be a transparent film. So uh, don't pile it on ok! Just dab it on even if you're gonna apply makeup after that or not.
What I find interesting about this gel other than the jelly-like texture, is that it contains Sulfur which helps unblock pores and promotes healing, plus Vitamin E and B6 to prevent dry and rough skin.
I appreciate the thoughtfulness placed into this product because I hate it when my skin becomes so annoyingly dry after using pimple creams! Plus it's super affordable, only at S$8.90!
