I suddenly realised that it's been quite a while since the last time someone asked me how was my weekend, so... this was how last weekend went.
SATURDAY
We headed down to Tampines One because I was invited for an event held by Beauty Bistro X SHILLS X SASA. They flew Judy Lin lao shi (林叶亭老师) from the popular Taiwanese tv show, Nv Ren Wo Zui Da (女人我最大) to do live demonstrations of different SHILLS products. Took like a million photos of her and I'll blog that up as soon as I sort everything out, haha.
Had congee cravings so bf and I went to Crystal Jade at Tampines Mall for lunch!
So stoked to have dimsum ≧(´▽`)≦
Deep-fried beancurd skin roll with shrimp OMNOMNOM
Har Gow
Siew Mai with crab roe topping.
I ever ate siew mai with CARROT topping lor. Forgot where at, though. I felt so scammed ok.
Decided to try a different one because I've been eating sliced beef congee since forever. & I really mean forever. Since I was... 5, perhaps? My taste buds hate century egg and pork liver so yeah...
I had the Ting Zai Zok (艇仔粥), aka "Boat congee".
It consists of shredded lettuce, cuttlefish, fish slices and roasted peanuts. Congee was awesome as usual, but I was so disappointed with just 2 measly slices of fish and really skinny cuttlefish (´_`。)
D had the Beefu Brisket noodles. The beef melted in my mouth, mm...
We walked around Tampines One and spotted this bakery called Yamakazi by Sun Moulin.
Cheesu Kehki.
Don't buy it. It looks so much better than how it tastes. I was expecting a cotton soft cheesecake like how the Japanese are so good at, but this is like steamed cake with a really strong smell of cheese; almost like cheddar!? Half of it is still in the fridge and I refuse to finish it.
I like paper boxes HAHA.
Strawberry tarto!
I've been on a strawberry frenzy lately... anyway, the shortcrust pastry was so freaking hard. No kidding. There's also a thin sponge layer, cream and chocolate.
Spotted this on Tuesday but I'm not gonna outcast this photo HAHA. They're laundry detergents! So suggestive and witty HAHAHA.
& I had a grumpy muffin.
SUNDAY
Bf finally decided to get a new computer at Sim Lim Square and I got new baking stuff from Phoon Huat nearby. Love that store. We met Nicky as well!
& we finally had naan, yayyyy!
We were super craving for naan about 2 weeks ago and couldn't think of any other places to have it other than at Little India. Basically, it's the biggest mistake ever to drive to Little India on a Sunday. Don't ever do it. & we didn't get to eat naan.
I had chicken marsala while D had mutton.
After his techy shopping, we decided to check out the new Shaw Lido after putting it off for practically ten years.
Caught Green Lantern. It was a little too "cartoonish" for me but it was WAAAY better than Super 8.
Anyway, we're gonna watch all of our movies there from now on.
Leather/Pleather(I don't think they'll actually use leather) seats which are more hygienic LOL, super clean and odourless theatres. Can't ask for more!
Went back to D's
Spanking new CPU!
Fixing up his computer! (*^▽^*)
I had nothing to do, so I took useless photos of myself.
I think I look naked, but I wasn't! Had my sleepwear on.
That's a lot of "I"s.
& another one
Got bored of taking self-portraits.
Here's a Sakura Daifuku we bought from Sun Moulin earlier on.
Just realised it looks like a grumpy old man's scrunched up face.
Told you I'm on a strawberry frenzy!
Didn't like it. Too much whipped cream.
Bf's parents got this coffee walnut chiffon loaf cake.
It's so amusingly humongous.
MONDAY
Headed to town yesterday for an appointment but Cozycot screwed it up by making an appointment for me at their CLOSING TIME. Wtf srsly.
It's been months since we last went to town! We were at Ngee Ann City, and noticed that Seventh Heaven replaced the previous gelato stall at the B2 Food Hall. We got Rum & Raisin and Sea Salt Caramel.
I basically ate everything because D decided to eat Tori Q.
I basically ate everything because D decided to eat Tori Q.
Verdict? There was a strong taste of creamy milk, which is different and very good. The seasalt caramel didn't set quite right, so did a few of the other ice creams in the freezer. Rum & Raisin didn't have the "POW!" factor and I prefer whole, alcohol-soaked raisins - these raisins were all disintegrated. Sorry to say that I still prefer Udders... Their service was ace, though!
Okay thanks for reading about my boring weekend! (*^ー^)ノ
